GENERAL INFORMATION

INTER-AMERICAN NETWORK ON CADASTRE AND PROPERTY REGISTRY

Established in 2014, the RICRP (in its Spanish acronym) is an intergovernmental initiative among American countries. It serves as a platform for systematic, horizontal technical cooperation with the aim of promoting, enhancing, and expanding exchanges to develop, disseminate, and implement best practices in Cadastre and Property Registry throughout the region, supporting institutional development processes at various government levels.
EVENT OBJECTIVE

This is the most important annual event of the Inter-American Network on Cadastre and Property Registry. It aims to contribute to the advancement of cadastral and registry systems, as well as the establishment of administration systems and land management in the countries of the region.
TOPIC 1

The role of Cadastre and Property Registry as sources of information of public value.

Both Cadastres and Property Registries are crucial for reevaluating property rights, particularly in environmental areas.

It is essential to balance environmental conservation with access to land, addressing issues such as food security, housing, biodiversity, and community participation through conflict resolution and sustainable development mechanisms.
TOPIC 2

The role of new technologies in Cadastre and Property Registry, with a view to their contribution to environmental preservation.

It is necessary to explore how new technologies can contribute to a more sustainable approach to land and property administration, benefiting both the environment and society in general.

Real estate valuation for tax equity and environmental sustainability.

To discuss improvements in real estate valuation with a focus on tax equity and environmental sustainability, it is essential to address issues related to fair valuation, appropriate taxation and sustainable development practices.
